Hi folks,

It’s me, Gabe. No, not my management, record label, or some computer program pretending to be me-it’s me. I want to take this time to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported my music in 2011. If you bought my records, came to one of my shows, or passed the word on to someone about my music, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Your continued support enables me to do what I love everyday, and for that I am grateful.

I am excited for my upcoming tour this January with the talented Lelia Broussard! This will be my first time hitting some of these cities in a long time and I’m eager to see your familiar faces as well as some new ones at the shows! If one of the cities below is anywhere near you, take a break from your hibernation, put on your coats, warm up your cars, crank up the music, and head over to see me play a full set of MY music. You’ll be happy you did.

Named Lightning 100’s December “Artist In Residence,” Dixon and the station will work to raise donations for Second Harvest Food Bank, Toys for Tots and The American Red Cross

As the holidays approach, many of us long for home; spending most of his time on the road, singer/songwriter Gabe Dixon is no different.  This year, Gabe will spend his holidays in his hometown Nashville as WRLT Lightning 100’s first “Artist in Residence.” As “Artist in Residence”, Dixon will join the Lightning 100 team, working together to make a greater impact on the local Nashville community in a very real way, particularly in these hard economic times.
 
For the entire month of December, Dixon and Nashville’s Independent radio station will work to support food, clothing, toy and blood donation programs through Second Harvest Food Bank, Toys for Tots and The Red Cross.  The Nashville-based artist will make a number of appearances and live performances at various charity programs around his hometown, encouraging fans and friends to join him in the spirit of giving.
 
Not only will those who attend these events have a chance to meet Dixon and see him perform, but they will also have the opportunity to do their part and help those less fortunate by bringing food, toys and clothing donations to these events.  As a bonus, those who donate two cans of food and/or a new toy will receive an exclusive 4-track Gabe Dixon EP that was recorded live from his last Nashville Sunday Night live broadcast on WRLT.  The EP includes tracks from his most recent, critically acclaimed album One Spark. In addition to scheduled appearances, Dixon will be a "guest DJ" for WRLT, co-hosting the request lunch hour with Lt. Dan throughout the season. Look for Gabe’s Christmas Video and holiday blogs on Lightning100.com.
